But who was Maggie May?

And what can we say?

About the life that she lived

And the death that she died 

And the People she knew on the way?

Who did she love?

What did she do?

Did she live life to the best?

What made her sigh?

What made cry?

Before she was laid down to rest.

Buy now she lies 

In a peaceful place

Right under the cypress trees;

Her life and her memory

Written on stone 

With Christ?

Or slowly just crumbling away.
